Although it’s been super sunny in San Francisco, the temps have been chilly and after scrolling through Instagram, I’m starting to having summer style FOMO. Fortunately, incorporating seasonally-appropriate pieces into my daily #OOTDs hasn’t posed too much of challenge. Midi skirts and dresses have been my go-tos, so if you’re looking to infuse warm-weather pieces into your breezy Bay Area lewks or you just really like the midi style, continue on for tips on how to wear them throughout the summer — no matter when you live!
A long layer, like this Everlane trench (a year-round essential for San Francisco!), has been my spring and summer savior. It shields me from the wind without the weight of the coat, plus the neutral khaki color lightens up any look.
A sweater tank can be worn like a tee with the added bonus of warmth. It’s easy to layer and can easily transition from season to season. Too hot for this mid-weight knit? Reach for a eyelet top or t-shirt instead.
I’ve been wearing these sandals with everything lately because they’re comfy and instantly summer-fy any outfit. If it’s too chilly for open-toe shoes, I usually slip into sneakers, though mules, espadrilles, or booties do the job, too!
