Holy smokes, today was HOT (and for those not familiar with the SF weather—it hit a whopping 84°). As a kid, my hometown would reach 100°+ in the summer, but after living in San Francisco for 7 years, I’m such a baby about heat—especially when air conditioning is hard to come by in the city (I know, cry me a river). Since our “summer” usually arrives late in the season, I’ve learned to stock up on transitional pieces like this mockneck dress. The mid-length is appropriate for warmer weather, yet it’ll keep me cozy during the gloom & fog. The thick material was plush and mostly wrinkle-resistant—it’s made of part wool, so err on the side of caution if your skin is sensitive to it.  I went with an XS, but the cut runs slightly narrow—for a more forgiving look, size up.
