Jumpsuits are comfy, lightweight and a great staple for vacations. Talk about lazy, you got your pants and top all in one. Easy-peasy. But suppose you want to mix it up and make this parachuter’s uniform into more than just loungewear. Add a button down such as the linen one above or a light denim chambray top for a look fit for the cabana. Stay tuned this week as I map out different ways to sport this adult onesie.

I’ve never been much of a dress girl and I’ll usually try to get out of wearing one if I can. When I HAVE to depart with my pants, I’ll sneak into a skirt instead. I prefer skirts to dresses because you can create multiple outfits with them and make them work for many occasions. With wedding season near, why not invest in a skirt? You can probably get away with wearing it a couple times without someone saying “didn’t she wear that already?” Plus, it’s the perfect option for those photobooths where they only shoot from the waist up.

Sometimes I think I should make a career change and become a news meteorologist. Think about it, you get to wear nice outfits, get your makeup done and you never have to be right. I was anticipating sunny warm weather last weekend and as you can see, it was anything but that. Oh well, I brightened up my weekend with my favorite sequin bomber (it’s on sale for less than $15!) and paired it with some aqua wayfarers. This is what summer in San Francisco looks like.

Cool Tones

Wearing cool tones is definitely a change of pace since I’m naturally drawn to pink, orange and red. Green tends to bring out the red in my skin tone and it can also make me look pale, like I’m about to faint pale. However, a green tone that is more white-based (jade or mint) better compliments my pinkish complexation. It’s kind of like picking a foundation color, it takes a lot of trial and error to find colors that work for you. And I’m pretty sure we know how difficult it can be to find a foundation color that doesn’t make you look orange like Snooki or white like Casper the Friendly Ghost.

Last weekend I nearly melted when I went back home. It was 100 degrees and after living in San Francisco for 4 years, I forgot what the intense Summer heat felt like. Since I’m always cold, I kind of miss the hot weather, but what I miss most are the warm nights. I stepped outside around 11pm and it was warmer than a “hot” SF day. I’m sure if I still lived there, I would hate the constant heat, but being able to wear outfits like this is worth it, right? Oh, the grass is always greener…
