[VIDEO] 7 Winter Outfits

Last month, Tyler and I spent a week back home for the holidays. We hung out with friends and family, then closed out the week with a trip to Tahoe.

Watch to see what I packed!

Outfit Details

‘Tis the season for faux fur jackets — from teddies to shearling, I can’t get enough of the fuzzy feels. I bought this Free People jacket right before the holidays. Tyler and I were headed back home to Sacramento where the winters are surprisingly, chilly (colder than SF!), so my new oversized coat came in handy. Free People tends to run big, but overall they’re pretty consistent with their sizing — I’m wearing a XS. I know I didn’t get any pictures of it, but I layered it over a classic mom sweater from H&M. Since the v-neck knit was slightly more fitted, I wanted to tuck it into high-waisted denim. The crop on these Habitual jeans are just right on my 5’2″ height. I sized down because there a little bit of stretch to them and I tend to outwear my jeans. They fit nicely, but I could have gotten away with my normal size too — if you’re between sizes, try sizing down.

Last Minute Gift Guide

And just like that, it’s Christmas. I say this every year, but 2018 really flew by. For those who’ve put their holiday shopping off until the last minute, this guide is for you. These gift ideas are available for Prime or rush shipping, so they can get here before the 25th — and they’re just the right amount of quirky for anyone on your list.

The Last Minute Gift Guide For The Girl Who Has Everything

  1. Monet Brand Phone Wallet + Grip ($25): I’ve always wanted a cardholder on my phone case, but ultimately I found a grip/iRing to be more useful. This wallet combines both functionalities and since it adheres to the back of a phone, you won’t need to worry about the size of phone the recipient has.
  2. 3Doodler Create + Pen ($80): This would have been on my childhood Christmas list… just like my list this year! Instead of ink, this pen “draws” with heated plastic that solidifies into the shape you created.
  3. Makeup Waterproof Travel Bag ($10): This was on my gift guide last year and it’s back again. It’s lightweight and securely stores tall bottles and odd-shaped containers. I use it on every trip!
  4. 88Rising Album ($35): Know a music lover who’s a Millennial—or even better, Generation Z? This album is trending on Spotify and have 2.5 million subscribers on YouTube.
  5. Bequet Salted Caramels ($15): The most mouth watering caramels ever.
  6. elago Charging Hub ($25): For any techie on your list—this charging station will keep the Apple-purist happy.
  7. Ember Temperature Control Mug ($80): You know that feeling when you’re tea is too hot to drink, so wait and by the time you remember to drink it, it’s cold? Well this mug solves that problem—the reviews are hit or miss, but according to those with the travel tumbler, Ember products may be worth a try.
  8. Polaroid Originals OneStep Plus i-Type Instant Camera ($160): Like the original, but with bluetooth.
  9. Fingerless USB Hand Warmer Gloves ($26): Keep your cold-blooded friends and coworkers toasty with these heated gloves.
  10. Animal Bite Cable Protector ($17 – 12 pack):  Damage to a phone charger at least once in your life is nearly inevitable. This multi-pack is perfect for a group of coworkers or as stocking stuffers.
  11. Chinatown Market Phone Case ($24): This streetwear and accessories line is filled with bold colors and graphic prints—it’s a subtle pop to any neutral outfit.
  12. Weighted Blanket ($94): I’ve been intrigued hearing the benefits people experience since sleeping under a weighted blanket. The concept sounds a little weird, but imagine how comforting it could feel…
