If you’re short like me, you’ll love the new ankle stretch denim from Everlane — and if you’re of average height or above, there’s a good chance you’ll like these too (they come in regular and tall!). Basically, for the price and fit, you’ll want to try on a pair for yourself. Here are my thoughts on the Everlane Authentic Stretch High-Rise Skinny Ankle Jean:

  • TTS: My normal size (25) fit great.
  • Length: I’m 5’2″ and they hit just above my ankle (pre-wash). They come in regular and tall lengths too.
  • Rise: My torso is fairly average (not long or short) and the waist hits just above my belly button — for high-rise denim this is my preferred fit.
  • Stretch (the good kind): I do a whole lot of bending and squatting at work and these jeans were able to move with me, without stretching out. After two full days of wear, they fit just as well as when they arrived.
  • Fabric: I can only speak to black wash, but this is where I have to grade slightly below average. The inside of the jeans feel fine, but the outside is a little scratchy. However, some designer denim feels this way too, which leads me to my next point…
  • Price: For $68, I think you’ll be really impressed with the quality of fit. The first day I wore them, three coworkers asked who made my jeans — not bad for a basic pair of black skinnies

And just like that, summer is over — or if you live in San Francisco, it may have just begun (if we’re lucky!). After being here for almost a decade, I’ve learned how to fake a seasonal wardrobe to keep up with the rest of the country. I stick to light colors like white, bright blue denim and straw accessories  (I bought this bag on vacation, but here a few similar styles: save 1, save 2, splurge). Come October, when everyone’s fall-ready, I’ll be over here with bare arms and in a dress trying to cope with the heat and no A/C in sight.

After seeing my mom and grandma wearing a jade bangle throughout my childhood, I was inspired to get one. I did some research and found them difficult to find, especially from a retailer I could trust. Then, I came across a few Etsy shops that sold jade (like this one!) and after finding the color, size, and price point I wanted, I bought my first jade bangle. I slipped it on about a year ago and it’s never come off (cc: shower, beach, sleep). Needless to say, when I had the opportunity to partner with Etsy, I couldn’t wait to share my favorite jewelry pieces.

Wanting to expand my jade collection, I was on the hunt for a Buddha pendant necklace.  I found this little guy and immediately fell in love with the size and shiny gold accents. Also added to my cart? A 20” gold chain to wear it with and  these 18” and 20” pendant necklaces.

Keep in mind, each pendant can vary — here are similar jade styles:
