Right when I was complaining about the cold, we get hit with heatwave. Since it’s rare to have an air conditioner in San Francisco, I found myself sitting as still as possible to prevent breaking a sweat. Though it was close to unbearable, I’ll admit it’s been a nice break from the overcast skies. And when the weather is being fickle, get an outfit that can do both. These Monki Overalls from ASOS (wearing XS/US4) are perfect for cool and warm temps. The baggy, relaxed legs allow for airflow—especially after I trimmed them to hit above my ankles. They have a bit of stretch and aren’t restricting like true denim. When we’re back to our regularly scheduled programming, these relaxed overalls can easily be layered over a chunky sweater or sweatshirt.

Whenever I wear these jeans—either on Instagram or at work—people always who makes them. I’ve realized that a super high-rise jean with a straight leg is hard to come by. The clean blue wash is another standout trait in a sea full of distressing and whiskering.  Since the waist is so high and I have zero hips, the fit is a little weird on me. If you’re between sizes, take the larger and if you’re pretty straight/narrow throughout the hips, go with your normal size.  I trimmed about a 1″ from the hem and about 3″ from my other pair of  Levi’s Super High Rise Ribcage Jeans. There’s not a ton of stretch and the fabric feels thin compared to my tried-and-true Wedgie Fit Jeans. Overall, the quality doesn’t feel as nice as my other Levi’s but for under $100, the relaxed yet polished silhouette makes up for it. 

When I posted my hair tutorial, I got a few DMs asking where my shirt was from. I briefly chatted about it in my Spring Shopping Haul video, but since then it’s sold out.
